Covid-19 Haunt Mitigation Plans
Share
Hey Terror Fans! Your safety has always been a priority at Terror 29. As a CHAOS certified haunted house through the Haunted Attraction Association, we’ve made preventive measures from day one. For example, we’ve always had hand sanitizer available (although, ironically it was rarely used). When our scare actors and staff were sick, they stayed home. However, because of Covid-19, we’ve made even more cautionary plans. We can’t imagine a season without haunted houses so let’s all do our part to SAVE HALLOWEEN!
To overcome the pandemic and keep our Terror Fans safe and healthy during haunt season, we have a 4 tier Covid-19 mitigation plan. October is far enough away that I am sure our plans will change, but rest assured that we will adjust accordingly. We’ve broken down the categories by normal risk, low risk, moderate risk and high risk.
Normal risk is as it sounds. The haunt operates business as usual. We will still have our hand sanitizer stations available, we will not allow sick actors or staff to be at the haunt, etc.
Low risk doesn’t change a whole lot. For example we add increased cleaning of high touch areas, social distancing and face masks recommended but not required, and more.
Moderate and high risk are really where a lot of the mitigation plans come into play. All actors and staff will be temperature screened, face masks will be required. Social distancing of 6 feet will also be required, etc. Of course we will adjust our plans as necessary. If our actors and staff need face masks, they will have them. If we need to use less actors and staff we will, to follow social distance guidelines.
Again, the hope is to operate business as usual. But we wanted you to know that we are taking steps and precautionary measures to make this haunt season safe for everyone. You love getting scared, and we love scaring you! Let’s all have a fun Halloween season this year!
