Haunt Help - Terror Vlog #18

Hey Terror Fans! Some of you might have seen the pictures we’ve been posting on Instagram about tearing down the haunted house. Why are we doing that? Well, because of your loyal support over the years we are planning on moving to a new location that is bigger and heated. We were thrilled to make a special announcement that we are moving and why we’ve been tearing down the entire haunted house.

This has been many months in the making. Originally there was a building in Tea that accepted our offer, but soon found out it needed to have a a sprinkler system to get county approval. Then we put in an offer on a different building that was up to code and we were so excited! We were ready to move last week and I get a call that the landlord no longer wants to do a deal and is pulling the property off the market. After all these weeks of getting fire marshal approval, working with the city, coming to an agreement with the landlord. All was moving according to plan. We were completely devastated. Now, here we are with only a couple weeks left to empty out of the current building and no place to call home quite yet.

Our struggle is we aren’t like other businesses since our main source of income only comes once a year in October. I’ve got some offers out on other buildings. In the meantime I’m looking to store the haunt for a couple months during this transition. So now we have some unexpected costs.

I’ve set up a GoFundMe account to help get us through this transition. It can be difficult to ask for help, but now is the time we need it the most.

A few reasons for needing more money are for storage and buildings that are up to code with sprinklers are harder to find and are more expensive. We also have to install a $8000 dollar Emergency EVAC Communications system to get approval from the Fire Marshal.

Let's get a discussion going and share this post with everyone and anyone. During this whole process I’ve had plan a, plan b, plan c and we are running out of letters. And I’m sure there are things we haven’t thought of. So don’t hesitate to reach out and discuss solutions. This is a group effort.

Please consider donating - any amount helps! Or check out our products on the website. We are pretty sure you need a Terror 29 T-Shirt. :)

With your help we can do this. We will bring the terror to Sioux Falls!
