Terror Vlog #19 - Sioux Falls Haunted House

A farewell to the past 3 years and onwards to the next chapter of Terror 29!

What a wild ride it has been! First and foremost I want to thank all of our fans for supporting us throughout the years. This is NOT the end of Terror 29, it’s just a new chapter. It’s not goodbye, it’s see ya later.

To get caught up, we were planning on moving to a new location and we were so excited to make the announcement. A week or so before moving out I get a call that the landlord has changed his mind and no longer wants to do a lease agreement. Absolutely devastating. With only a few weeks left before our current lease was up we started to scramble. We have successfully loaded the entire haunted house into 4 storage units and are continuing to look for a new location.

For now let’s take a look back at the past 3 years.

In 2019 I had a dream and vision to create the best haunted house in Sioux Falls. And you know what? I did exactly what I set out to do. That little dream turned into an epic experience not only for myself, but also for our actors and fans.

Hundreds of hours were spent at the old location. Thousands of screws, many 2x4s, fog machines, walls, lights and a little bit of hope we had everything built within 4-5 months. I celebrated many birthday parties shooting off fireworks. So many memories, a baby gender reveal, friendships created that will last a lifetime. Not to mention all the screams and scares that echoed through the haunt. And now it is an empty building.

We achieved a loyal fan base with over 250,000 followers on TikTok. We got featured on The Dr. Oz Show with a quick 10 second cameo. We were lucky enough to do a social media collaboration with Blumhouse Films. Many TV segments, news articles… There were a lot of good and bad that happened too, but I loved all of it.

I couldn’t have done it without the incredible friends and family who became a part of the Terror Team.

Thank you for the memories. We aren’t going anywhere, but for now I’ll see you on the other side where the TERROR continues.
